Alien Squad Leader 2.0 review at Dropship Horizon Blog

Time for a blast from the past.  Since we released the new 100 Point pre-made army for Alien Squad Leader, ASL02 Human Colonial, a couple of weeks ago we have been getting asked if there are any online reviews of the game.  Well there were but no recently so I set out to look for one and link it to here.  I found the great review written upon release back in 2009 by Mark Hannam who was the creator and owner of Dropship Horizon blog at that time.   You can read it HERE.

Mark had a copy of the book and gave it a very positive review after reading it.  An experienced wargamer and at that time science fiction fanatic he lauded it in many ways examining it from many angles.  If you are interested in Alien Squad Leader after reading the review then go to its page on our website and read more about it.

We are working on the next army pack for ASQL with the coming release this week being along those lines.  I will give details at the time.

Thanks for Reading.

Mr Harolds Magical Miniature Review of our Modern Tents!

I got a lovely surprise at the weekend when Mr Harold (he of Clear Horizon and Dropship Horizon fame) emailed me to give me a link to the above video which he has posted up to YouTube.  A video review of our recently released FST01 and FST02 15mm Modern Tents packs.   The video is well worth watching and is informative as to the use of the tents and some scale comparisons to our own and other makers brands of miniatures including his own excellent Hell Divers.

Here are links to the two packs on our website:

FST01 Modern Tents (Two in the Pack)
FST02 Torn Modern Tents (Two in the Pack)

And a nice picture of them to show you what they look like all painted up by our studio.  Mr Harold tells us that he is painting his tents up as a research set in whites and greys with logos.  I look forward to seeing that.

Keep up the good work!

Its painting competition time over on the great Dropship Horizon blog, focal point of all 15mm science fiction wargamers.  Open to all comers there is a list of suggested entries and there will be prizes too for the winners.  This is an excellent idea to keep away the blues of the deep freeze period of the year.  Check it Out!

The painting competition runs from 15th January 2014 to 15th February 2014.  You can enter a squad or a single vehicle or a piece of terrain or structure.  Full details on the post.
How about a HOF Zidhe Space Elf squad?
As an aside I would be mighty happy if a wargamer won by entering something that we make and to that end although we are offering an offical prize along with many other companies I will be happy to mail out an additional wee surprise to any winner who used our products.  On top of this since I am a great guy I am happy to digitally edit any pictures you want to send to DSH blog to make them shine; just email me or comment below.   If any of our codes win I will personally make sure your loyalty is rewarded!
